Covid Overload

This post is a little different from my usual musings. I am not judging anyone or anything; just putting my thoughts and experiences on the subject down on “paper”. I hope the below gets you thinking about the inconsistencies, global policy shifts, and corporate subsidies that continue 3 years into this. And maybe even nudges you to dig deeper on other key issues instead of simply accepting the “official” messaging.

As I wrote in my “Reflections” post, after 3 years it’s time to accept Covid as part of life like colds and flu. That is not to diminish its impact, it is simply saying that we need to move on with our lives, taking the same precautions we should have been taking pre-covid: wash your hands often, cover your mouth when you cough, if you don’t feel well stay home or at least stay away from others, etc.

As for the Covid shots. I know far too many people who after being fully dosed-up contracted Covid and were down for the better part of a week with flu-like symptoms. One can argue that it would have been worse without the shots, but one can also argue that we don’t yet know the long-term negative impacts to the body from taking those shots (remember how the Swine Flu vaccine was pulled after disastrous side effects). So, is natural immunity from getting Covid better or worse than pseudo-immunity from the shots? And what about those who are vaccinated being more likely to unknowingly spread it as they are less likely to show symptoms? In addition, even though every ad for a medication or vaccine is required to include information about side effects, Covid drugs and shots do not have to do this. Makes you think, doesn’t it?

I find it curious that the J&J vaccine (based on the flu vaccine platform) has vanished from the United States while the experimental mRNA shots continue to be pushed even though they have more widespread side effects. Is there more to this story than we are privy to? And the false message that those mRNA shots keep recipients from spreading Covid is still broadcast in several radio and TV commercials. The barrage of advertising, sponsored by state and local governments and the pharma companies making those shots, is so bad that in a normal ½ hour listening to NY radio, I hear at least 2 multi-ad sets. How much taxpayer money is still being spent to coax people into taking the shots, the pills, and to subsidize big pharma while indemnifying them from accountability?

Finally, after the population revolted and its economy continues to lag, China recently ended virtually all Covid restrictions, including the requirement for those with Covid to quarantine. This even as cases rose significantly. As test kit giveaways, voluntary testing of incoming travelers at a handful of US airports (as part of a new surveillance program), and talk of mask mandates return in the US, it all makes me wonder about the true global plan.

In closing, if you are comfortable wearing a mask, go right ahead, but please don’t criticize those who choose not to. And those of you who don’t want to wear a mask, please don’t make those wearing one feel bad. Same goes for those mRNA shots. Covid is here to stay, and we are all in this together, so be smart, be safe, and look out for each other.
